Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
The gnome-terminal display shows only a blinking pixel. The pixel
responds to keystrokes, and it moves to the right as text is entered,
but the text is not visible.
Gnome Terminal version: 2.18.1
Kernel: 2.6.20-16-386
Also running compiz-fusion with ATI fglrx driver for Radeon 9200.
