I used the command from the original bug to fix it:
TJ: To correct it, use this command by doing Alt+F2 (or a terminal if you can
see to type) and do:
$ gconftool --type float --set /desktop/gnome/font_rendering/dpi 96
--
terminal window opens up either too wide or too small, then text is not visible
