BTW, this was running off git master as of today:
$ xfdesktop --version
This is xfdesktop version 4.12.0git-b091ec3, running on Xfce 4.10.
Built with GTK+ 2.24.23, linked with GTK+ 2.24.23.
Build options:
Desktop Menu: enabled
Desktop Icons: enabled
Desktop File Icons: enabled
Also, I noticed that the git commit reported by --version isn't updated
unless I re-run ./autogen.sh or (probably) ./configure.
