I've seen the same symptoms on several of the updates during the vivid development cycle. I believe I've seen the problems while others haven't because always I go in and change the default theme, colors, positions, etc. and have multiple monitors.
My workaround has been to delete everything in ~/.cache and restart KDE. That usually corrects the issue. In worst cases, I've had to remove the plasma* files out of ~/.config. It might be a good idea if the future KDE packages cleared their files out of .cache automagically. I'm using systemd, so I'm doubtful the init system has anything to do with the issues. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1435061 Title: KDE 5 is corrupted, after updating Kubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/1435061/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
