Maybe this helps to identify some of the troubles: I suddenly
experienced repeated disconnects with my Intel 7260 wifi after I
switched my modem from a IPv6 to IPv4 internet connection. The modem is
a Fritzbox 7360, but I use a D-Link DIR-655 wireless access point (on
which I did not change any settings).

The wifi kept disconnecting, nearly every minute, until I switched the
internet connection back to IPv6, what it was before. Now the wifi is
rock-solid again.

I don't see how it is related, but there is a direct correlation here.
So for what it's worth.
