Interesting thing. Tested on 14.04.02 (added "print(i2c_bus_name)" line
for debug):

$ uname -a
Linux mik-laptop-origin 3.16.0-31-generic #43~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Tue Mar 10
20:13:38 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ sudo init-headphone
[sudo] password for mik:
i915 gmbus ssc
i915 gmbus vga
i915 gmbus panel
i915 gmbus dpc
i915 gmbus dpb
i915 gmbus dpd
DPDDC-A
DPDDC-C
Can't find i2c bus. Make sure that all required modules are loaded.
