Public bug reported:
"Encouragingly, this socialistic "gift economy" is still at the heart of
computer/software development and the Internet. For example, the Free
Software Foundation has developed the General Public Licence (GPL). GPL,
also know as "copyleft", uses copyright to ensure that software remains
free. "
1) The GPL uses copyleft as a mechanism, while it's possible to conflate
GPL and copyleft as one thing, there are other copyleft licenses
(Creative Commons -SA) and other copyleft-inspired works. So it's
probably more accurate to say
2) "know" is the wrong tense here. Combined with the above leads to :
"GPL, which uses a mechanism known as copyleft to utilize copyright to
ensure that the GPL covered software remains free. "
