Does it never start or does it not start quickly enough? If it doesn't
start at all, can you please check:
$ initctl status unity8-dash
And ~/.cache/upstart/unity8-dash.log and syslog for any interesting log
entries.
Also, what is "not good enough"? People have been successfully running
unity8 on netbook computers with a lowly Atom processor and little RAM.
