Description:    Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
Release:        14.04

Latelly Firefox is closing with no apparent reason. It doesn't create
any crashes and simply quit.

I ran it from the terminal to see if there was anything that would help
me discover what was happening   but this was all the was shown.
