I'm 99% sure that this is just the grub2 issue that is known and already fixed upstream (and in 15.04). Linux is setting one bit in the C-A-S vectors, grub2 is unsetting (or v.v., I forget exactly) and so the negotiation fails and we reboot continuously. LTC Bug 111313 - LP1334793, closed in 14.10. AFAIK, 14.04.1/2 do not support PowerVM, so this is only targetted to 14.04.3. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1435699 Title: not able boot with Ubuntu 14.04.1 - partition keeps on rebooting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1435699/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
