This is being fixed in motif 2.3.4-6.1 for Jessie. I'm going to upload the same fix for Vivid (as motif 2.3.4-7ubuntu1) and then backport to Utopic and Trusty. After Jessie is released, the fix will be included in motif 2.3.4-8 and uploaded to unstable.
