Public bug reported:
Package: mingetty
Version: 1.08-2
Severity: normal
The program works fine if it is invoked by init the default way. But it exits
with error when it is invoked by user's command line.
I digged a little and found out it is the call to ioctl(fd,TIOCSCTTY,1) in
open_tty().
This bug was confirmed as #51756 and fixed in debian bug track system.
However, the added 'setsid()' no longer exsists in 1.08-2 version.
** Affects: mingetty (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Patch added: "a patch generated by quilt"
