Public bug reported:
pinch direction is always out. This is caused by a change in geis (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/geis/+bug/986215). The github source has solved the
big (since 2013?) . So solution is to update source from
https://github.com/JoseExposito/touchegg
$ lsb_release -rd
