Actually, this appear to be either a regression in bug 48524 or a faulty CD. Does the CD pass the integrity check (choose "Check CD for defects" from the main boot menu). If not, can you please burn the CD at a low speed (and make sure you check the MD5sum of your downloaded ISO) and try again?
