Public bug reported:
Ristretto displays rather uncooperative behavior when it comes across
mis-named images, such as a JPEG image with an incorrect .png filename
suffix.
Rather than simply refusing to view the file until the user renames it
manually, it would be much saner and more robust behavior to have some
quick way to view the image as whatever it is.
There are 3 ways I'd think this should be implemented (on the front-end):
* Prompt the user:
Image is labeled as PNG but appears to be a JPG image. View anyway?
* Have a setting/option available to always autodetect and display images with
wrong extensions
* A combination of the first 2:
Image is labeled as PNG but appears to be a JPG image. View anyway?
☑ Always view mis-named images?
** Affects: ristretto (Ubuntu)
