Public bug reported:

Hi.

It would be nice if you could add native support for vde, sines the old
way to connect is deprecated and the tolls to connect will dissaper in
the future.

Symptom:

vdeq qemu-system-x86_64 -smp cores=2 -nographic -m 3100 -hda Server1.vmdk -hdb
Server1disk1.vmdk -serial telnet::13101,server,nowait -net
nic,model=e1000,macaddr=52:54:2F:39:30:11 -net vde,sock=/tmp/switch1.ctl,vlan=1
 -net nic,model=e1000,macaddr=52:54:2F:39:31:11  -net
vde,sock=/tmp/switch2.ctl,vlan=2
NOTE: vdeq is now DEPRECATED -- both QEMU and KVM have native support for
      VDE. This binary will be removed soon from the distribution, consider
      stopping using it.

Regards
Oskar
