For some reason your grub menu boot option is limiting the memory to only 3GB. You can see that in the beginning of your dmesg log file:
[ 0.000000] Command line: root=UUID=fbd57a9a- 0bc0-4ed1-8b67-62fc89536a22 ro mem=3G acpi=off irqpoll You could try modifying your boot options dynamically the next time you boot and see if you have all 4 GB of memory after removing the "mem=3G" portion of the line. For more detailed information regarding how to modify boot options you may find https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GrubHowto helpful. How did you go about installing Gutsy? It may have been the installation process that added those options to grub. -- nc8430 and 4GB Ram https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140636 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
