3. when selecting the top part of an open window a grid on the should not
appear encasing the whole window
4. Mate Tweak Windows Performance with the Don't show content while dragging
them
when selecting the top part of an open window from a either the trackpad or
left button on a laptop a grid encasing the entire window appears
I assumed it was the window manager since when Compiz is selected as the window
manager the grid does not appear
