I tried dpkg-reconfigure console-setup and it offers font 16x8, but there is no 16x8 for VGA, there is only 16 in /etc/console-setup: Uni2-VGA16.psf.gz Also, for some unknown reason, it it was not extracted from archive and I should do it by hand.
