I have the same problems, using the Swedish update servers. I booted my computer and leaved it for lunch, and when I came back the CPU was running at 100% (http by apt). I kept it running for a while, and then I starting investigating this issue. I checked my /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/ and noticed that I had a file there over 100G big and growing all the time, so I rebooted, deleted the file and changed to the principal servers.
