For me since recently (I don't know since when exactly because I do not
use this laptop a lot) a bunch of system shortcuts (System settings >
Keyboard > Shortcuts) stopped working on an Acer C720 (running Ubuntu
15.04).

Some shortcuts do now work for me. I have, for example SHIFT+F7 to
increase display brightness, and ALT+CTRL+T to launch a terminal and
SHIFT+BACKSPACE = DELETE. These don't work. Some others, like
ALT+CTRL+Cursor keys to move between virtual desktops for example work
fine.
