Public bug reported:
I don't know if this is a bug in gnome-terminal or firefox (or somewhere
along the way), but selecting "open link" from within gnome-terminal
does not launch firefox to open the link if it is not currently running.
Firefox needs to manually be launched, "open link" selected and then the
tab/window is opened.
