You have two options to do this locally:
- Use /var/tmp/ (this has never been cleaned up automatically in Debian
and Ubuntu)
- Override /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/tmp.conf by creating a file like
$ cat /etc/tmpfiles.d/tmp.conf
d /tmp 1777 root root -
This will merely create the /tmp directory (if not present), but not
clean it.
