Is there actually a fix for this issue?  This problem has been going on for 
well over a year now, and the stated solution ("for many people") below, does 
not seem to work for my own situation/system, as described.  This information 
also appears to be quite dated. 
 
I would like to resolve this issue on my own system because the problem seems 
to disrupt the systems ability to run the software that I have created this 
partition and its associated Operating System to run.  This system I intend to 
use strictly for recording audio music (in what has been coined as a "Digital 
Audio Workstation").
