I have gone through several kernels and have managed to get some kernels to install. No luck in testing though. Problem still exists. In Ubuntu version 14 my laptop never woke up at all so I never would have now if this little issue was there at all. Thanks for your help. Sorry I haven't had more time to get through this quicker.
