A reinstall did not seem to fix the issue originally, but yes, the issue
was a missing minidlnad binary - specifically, it was (probably by
mistake) located at /usr/sbin/minidlna, but the init script tried to
call /usr/sbin/minidlnad. A symlink fixed that temporarily; after
upgrading to utopic, the issue seems to have been resolved.
