Public bug reported: When running off of Gutsy Gibbon (Herd 5) I am unable to connect to wireless networks.
After logging in I click on the network manager and select a network. The connecting animation plays but does not connect to the network. For encrypted networks I am prompted for the password but again no connection is established. This bug was reported as Bug #131109 for Feisty Fawn (7.04).
