I had managed to calibrate my eGalax touchscreen (Hewlett-Packard Pavilion TX
1000 tablet pc) a while ago, then upgraded video drivers. Ran into a problem
with the video drivers, and by the time I've ironed it out, the touchscreen
started to refuse calibration.
I have purged all extra PPAs but still no success.

Also, calibration values set in
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf don't work any more.
