I tested(to be able to bisect the problem) the mainline kernels, and since 3.19.0-18.18 should be based on the 3.19.6 vanilla kernel, I tried the 3.19.6 (and higher) vanilla kernels, but none of them has this issue. So the problem is in one of the ubuntu-specific changes. I don't have the time to bisect it within the coming days, so I would really appreciate it if one of the other people also impacted by the bug could perform this bisecting.
