Same here. Installed lxd based on the instructions found on ubuntu.com: https://insights.ubuntu.com/2015/03/20/installing-lxd-and-the-command-line-tool/
since the lxd daemon does not start on its own, the instructions in the quick start fail: ubuntu@these-grandmother:~$ lxd-images import lxc ubuntu vivid amd64 --alias vivid LXD isn't running. ubuntu@these-grandmother:~$ service lxd start ==== AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.systemd1.manage-units === Authentication is required to manage system services or units.
