Public bug reported:
I have a Dell Latitude D610. Using Dapper's 2.6.15 kernel, supsend to
ram was working well. However, after upgrading to Edgy, resume does not
work under 2.6.17. Checking the dmesg output under 2.6.15 and under
2.6.17, I see that the only real difference is that under 2.6.15 I get
ata1: PATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0x1F0 ctl 0x3F6 bmdma 0xBFA0 irq 14
while under 2.6.17 I get
ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0x1F0 ctl 0x3F6 bmdma 0xBFA0 irq 14.
Also, under 2.6.15 there is a line which says
acpi: bus type scsi registered
but I get no such thing under 2.6.17. I have a hunch that this is a SATA
problem, and there seem to be other similar bug reports, but I wasn't
sure exactly what the problem was so I filed it as a new bug. Please let
me know what other information may be useful.
