Binary package hint: usplash
When ReiserFS starts to replay the journal when it starts up on boot,
USplash changes display mode to text mode to display the text printed to
screen.
This is not a bug, as in wrong functionality, but USplash should be
changed so that it could cope with the case above. There are at least
two threads on Ubuntu forums related to this issue.
