Public bug reported:

Because I wanted a newer systemd version I tested Wily. However during
install I had an issue with my network card.

The card was recognized fine but it couldn't establish a network
connection. DHCP failed and even when I tried to assign network settings
manually I was not successful.

lspci lists:

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 0c)

This worked fine in 14.10 und 15.04.
