Hi, I briefly looked intot this.

For xorp's part, the latest version no longer depends on gcc-4.6 [1]. (Though 
the bug report doesn't seem to have been closed [2].)
Since it has some Ubuntu-specific changes, it will probably need to be merged 
though.
