I have recently found that if I run something, if I then resize the
window this:
Xfce4-terminal_before.png (this is an attached file)
Will become this:
Xfce4-terminal_after.png (this is an attached file)
And the text no longer wraps. But I think that it should, so I am filing
this bug report.
