This continues on even in Linux Mint as well as Ubuntu. I don't think /etc/kernel/postinst.d/apt-auto-removal should be triggered when you delete a kernel no matter if it's the17th, 3rd, or 2nd to last kernel. It is triggered when you just manually delete kernels: sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.19.0-20 linux-headers-3.19.0-20-generic linux-image-3.19.0-20-generic linux-image-extra-3.19.0-20-generic
Or when you do sudo apt-get autoremove. It should not be triggered except after a new kernel installation and that is all. I still have to manually edit /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/01autoremove-kernels after autoremoving the 3rd kernel back or I will be left with one kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1440608 Title: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/apt-auto-removal wants to remove all kernels except the latest one To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1440608/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
