The log in comment #2 shows that when there are UNSOL_CALL_RING events the call is finally answered with RIL_REQUEST_ANSWER. I do not see anything suspicious there. @bfiller, could you try adding
env OFONO_RIL_TRACE="" to /etc/init/ofono.override , and try to reproduce again?
