Public bug reported:

Use-Case:
Your phone is in your pocket. You get a text message. You take your phone out
of your pocket, and turn it in your hand so the front faces you.

Expected behavior: The phone is still locked
Behavior I get: 80% of the time, the phone is unlocked and I opened some app or
menu I don't want.

When you take your phone out of your pocket, the screen rubs against your leg
and your fingers. This easily creates the sliding motion required to unlock the
homescreen. Most android and ios phones use a small, 1cm thick slider to unlock
the homescreen. This is a lot harder to do on accident.

** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
