I was brave and tried the installation anew: it went better, it just hung in the end, restoring previous packages, and I stopped it with the X in the corner. But the installation seems to be functional, I'm using it right now.
The difference was that I started the installation from grub menu, not from live system. And possibly my mistake, the first time, was that I had the target partition mounted when I started the installation, but I'm not sure about this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1474505 Title: Segfault installing 14.04.2 from USB stick To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1474505/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
