Well, I don't seem to be getting a core dump anymore, but I suspect that may be due to some configuration change on my system, as the zynaddsubfx package does not seem to have been updated for some time (well before I reported this bug).
What version of Ubuntu are you running? BTW, I'm not too concerned about this bug.
