This could be the same error then #1391330 But to completely verify what could cause it would be good to have a debug log.
You can do this by going to Startup applications and changing the Diodon command to the following: bash -c "G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all setsid /usr/bin/diodon &>/home/username/diodon_debug.log" Replace username with your username. When you now logout and login Diodon will create a debug log diodon_debug.log. During Logout when the process is hanging get a copy of diodon_debug.log and attach it here.
