Public bug reported:
After 9/22/07 Gutsy update to 2.6.22.12-generic, have completely lost
ability to display 1920x1200 mode on Samsung SyncMaster 243T.
Under "Screens and Graphics", selecting LCD Panel 1920x1200 doesn't
work; the default "plug and play" is wrong (1400x1050). Also, graphics
card "nvidia" open source and it can't be changed to "proprietary".
Also, the update incorrectly changed default kernel boot from
"2.6.22-11-generic" to "2.6.22-12-i386" instead of "2.6.22-12-generic."
As a result, my dual core AMD Semperon 185 was only seen as a single
core cpu. Manually, selecting 2.6.22-12-generic on reboot finds a
correct dual core cpu, but does not correct graphics problems.
