I got a Samsung ATIV NP940X3K-K02US which has the Qualcomm atheros QCA6174 / NFA354 card.
I tried to follow the directions in #201. 1) I have the 4.1.1 kernel working 2) I 'm not sure what all needs to be installed. "all required firmware from previous posts" was kind of vague. I cloned https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware and copied the directories in /ath10k/ to /lib/firmware/ 3) I tried the latest non-rc stable, the latest RC stable, and finally the dev version of backports. Each with a restart after, and each with no change.
