This time I used mkusb to create a 'clean' boot drive. Now there is an option to auto-resize:
'Installera Lubuntu 15.10 vid sidan av Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS' which translates to 'Install alongside' -o- It seems that the problem was that I booted the installer via grub2 and the iso file: 'grub-n-iso', which seems to have confused the alternatives of the installer. ** Description changed: During isotesting of Lubuntu, I did not get any option to auto-resize, only upgrade 14.04.2 LTS, erase 14.04.2 LTS, erase the whole drive, and 'something else'. It was not possible to run the testcase 'Install (auto-resize)'. (Furthermore, the system 'found' Linux Mint, but it was only a trace of an erased Linux Mint iso file and maybe some configuration file.) + + Edit: + + I think the problem was that I booted the installer via grub2 and the + iso file: 'grub-n-iso', which seems to have confused the alternatives of + the installer. + + -o- ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: ubiquity 2.21.27 [modified: lib/partman/automatically_partition/question] ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.1.0-2.2-generic 4.1.3 Uname: Linux 4.1.0-2-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.18-0ubuntu5 Architecture: i386 CasperVersion: 1.362 CurrentDesktop: LXDE Date: Wed Jul 29 17:05:47 2015 InstallCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=(loop)/casper/vmlinuz boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily-live/current/wily-desktop-i386.iso splash persistent -- persistent LiveMediaBuild: Lubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Alpha i386 (20150728) SourcePackage: ubiquity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Summary changed: - no option to auto-resize + no option to auto-resize when booted via 'grub-n-iso' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1479405 Title: no option to auto-resize when booted via 'grub-n-iso' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1479405/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
