Did tests, with following result:
- 4.2.0-rc5 upstream: works (although wifi driver missing but that's unrelated)
- 3.19.0-25-generic (from 'linux-generic-lts-vivid'): works
- 3.16.0-45-generic (from 'linux-generic-lts-utopic'): works
3.13.0-57 and earlier: works (tested: 57, 55, 54, and various lower
ones)
3.13.0-58, 3.13.0-59, 3.13.0-61, kernel panic (see comment #3 for
screenshot)
so it appears the regression was introduced in 3.13.0-58, and later
kernel series have no issues.
