Boot from usb drive + 2. Select try ubuntu + 3. In the live desktop open a terminal + 4. In the terminal type "mkdir tmp" tap Enter + 5. In the terminal type "sudo mount /dev/sda1 tmp/" and tap enter + 6. In the terminal type "sudo mkdir tmp/EFI/boot" and tap enter + 7. In the terminal type "sudo touch tmp/EFI/boot/bootx64.efi" and tap enter + 8. Reboot + 9. Tap F2 until the UEFI menu opens + 10. Select Boot Sequence + 11. Tap on Add Boot Option + 12. Name it ubuntu + 13. Tap on the file dots + 14. On File System select FSO: + 15. For Directories select EFI/ubuntu + 16. For Files select shimx64.efi + 17. click on Okay + 18 Click on Apply and then Exit + 19. System should now reboot into Ubuntu.
