Public bug reported:
14.04.2 64bit Installer
When attempting a fresh install on a clean system.
Dialog "Preparing to install Ubuntu".
Checkboxes "Download updates while installing" and "Install 3rd party software"
both left unchecked.
Despite above settings, install still reports "Downloading updates".."Language
packs" etc.
Quite a pain when just want a quick install and to choose whats updates get
applied later/manually.
I don't want to wait hours for these updates, which could be done later!
I don't want all the language packs!
Should be a simple fix?
