When upgrading my desktop from vivid to wily modem manager exited with
an error status when updating my desktop. IT said that a post
installation step failed with error code 100 in modem manager and this
caused dpkg to return with an error code 1.

I expected no errors when installing packages. Instead modem manager
returned an error code. It did correctly configure afterwards with sudo
dpkg --configure -a and now I have the version of modem manager
