Hi, I'm experiencing the problem on Xubuntu 15.04 which comes with Xfce 4.12 (fresh install) It is very annoying. If you need any further testing, just ask me I'll be happy to help.
I have no external montor, just laptop screen. I never change desktop resolution. I have 40+ icons. It seems not to happen 100% of the time...
