Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

Starting about a week ago, compiz and/or X completely hang when I try to
drag-and-drop an object to something that shouldn't accept it. For
example, misdragging a Firefox tab onto the toolbar just above.
Ctrl+Alt+Backspace doesn't work, I can't switch VTs, magic-SysRq+K
causes X to restart, but with a black screen, and I have to reboot.
Sometimes even magic-SysRq doesn't work.

This doesn't occur with Metacity, and only started a few days back.
Running Gutsy up-to-date to two hours ago.

This may be related to bug #139876.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
